Leaving the car park, take the path up to Granges Mouchecuite, arriving in front of Chapelle Madonna della Neve.
Follow the mule track to the right of the chapel, which crosses the Decauville line and leads to Granges La Croix.
Immediately above the Granges, the path breaks away to the left. Initially running through woods, the track then crosses meadows and scree to reach the summit of Tête Pierre Muret, skirting the ridge to the west.
