From the last house in the village (north-west), turn right onto the mule track which, after crossing the Rochemolles stream, leads to Chapelle San Rocco and up to Granges Mouchecuite.
From here, before reaching Chapelle Madonna della Neve, turn left onto Sentier des Genzianes to join the old Decauville railway line.
After crossing the dirt road leading to Col du Sommeiller, follow the path to Rio Almiane, cross over it and continue along the Decauville track to reach the dam.
Take the mule track up to the right, reaching the hosts' house and, again on the right, the dirt road that leads to Col du Sommeiller.
After crossing the pass, take the mule track towards Granges d'Almiane. From there, on the right (south), follow the level path to Grange Selle.
Above Granges, keep to the left and follow the path to Petit Col d'Almiane.
