The Refuge Arlaud highlight!
From the refuge at 1,770 metres, follow the GTA, which in just 2 hours will take you to a ridge with superb views over the Chisone and Susa valleys. From here you can follow the famous Assietta path as it winds gently up and down.
The route passes Col Lauson (2,497 m) and then Mont Blegier (2,585 m). As you head down towards the pass, you join the original forest track that leads to a historic trail: The Canon Route”.
This path was previously used to transport artillery. It is still well preserved today. A little further on you join trail no. 7 of Parc Gran Bosco. In this landscape of rhododendrons, cembro pines and spruces, you can often encounter the wildlife that inhabits the area. This then leads you back to the hamlet of Seu and Refuge Arlaud.
