The Refuge Laval highlight!
A lake in a heavenly setting...
This hike will take you to the stunning Lac des Béraudes, one of the treasures to be found in the Clarée valley.
Start either from Refuge Laval or from the car park (2,030 m).
Cross Pont du Moutet and take the well-marked path on the left, which immediately starts to climb. This is a fairly short climb, as the 400 metres of ascent are fairly steep and winding.
The view on arrival is truly worth taking the detour. The breathtaking emerald-green Lac des Béraudes (2,504 m) awaits, its approach dominated by Pointe des Béraudes.
