Sentier Magique (2,000 m)

Following the tracks of the local wildlife
Leaving the refuge, follow the marked route to Lac delle Monache. From here, continue up the path that leads to the Sigot bivouac and at Pas du Fourneaux, turn right following the signs and passing below the rock faces of Grand and Petit Beuri. The route includes several ascents and descents takes you to the junction where it crosses the path leading to Col d'Ambin at around 2,500 m, where you can head back down to the refuge or continue up to Pas Clopaca. From here, you can reach the Galambra basin and Granges della Valle.
This is a beautiful round route which, following an old military route linking the nineteenth-century refuges of Laghi delle Monache (Nuns' Lakes), the Galambra pass and the Clopaca structures, brings you to an entirely unspoilt area where it is very easy to spot the local wildlife.
