From the refuge, head up to the headwaters of the Ruisseau de Gardiole, enter Vallon de Privé on a large moraine and then bear left, due south, towards the foot of Pointe de Buffère. You'll only spot the lake at the very last moment.
A wonderful haven of tranquillity beneath the Tête Noire rock face.
