Ascent:
From Granges de la Vallée Etroite (1,760 m), follow the path to Pont de la Fonderie (1,897 m), leaving it shortly afterwards to climb N-W towards Mine de Blanchet (2,200 m) through the woods. Pass beneath the rockface of Pétit and Grand Séru and climb the undulating slopes to reach the top of Mont Thabor (3,178 m). At the summit you'll find a chapel of pilgrimage, which belongs to the municipality of Bardonecchia - Italy.
Descent: Via the same route.
If the conditions are good, this is a fantastic, long descent to ski that takes you directly back down to the refuges of Vallée Etroite.
